New Number Pack is an upcoming experimental stream pack by Zaia. The pack is designed as a “stream volume diagnostic test” for players to test their speed/stamina/stream accuracy abilities against.
The pack's title refers to the “number”, which is an ITG stamina player vernacular. Attaining a “new number” means clearing a 32-measure 16th stream (or, more technically, any sequence of 512 consistently-spaced notes or more) at a higher BPM than had previously been cleared. This pack is designed specifically to train players to improve their “numbers”.

Every song in the pack is cut so charts only have one single stream of a specific length. The pack is divided into three main sub-packs:
Each simfile will contain four charts, each of varying degrees of pattern difficulty.
The BPMs of each simfile will increase in increments of 10, starting at 100 and ending at 400.
As the stream lengths for every chart are known in advance, the description field information will contain a different kind of chart metric data.
The concept of charts with the same stream breakdowns but with different patterning can be traced back to Mad Matt's Tachyon Spectrum (2013), which contained four charts to each simfile, and each had different patterning. My first serious foray into this concept occurs in December 2018 with a Brute Force chart that has three different patterning difficulties, labelled “Slidey", “Steppy” and “Steppy+”. This is back when Content Cop - Tachyon Epsilon (2019) was still in development, and I was experimenting with different chart types during the production of that pack and thinking about the Slidey-Steppy spectrum of pattern difficulty.
The New Number Pack project started in mid-2021 as a means to practice single streams at socially-relevant volumes. By this time, players had come to associate 32-measure streams as a metric of notable value, and this meant an increased interest in fixed-length minmaxed content. This concept involved simfiles with increasing BPMs but fixed stream lengths and differing pattern types for each chart. The prototype simfile made as a proof of concept was Departure 6.
During curation for Stamina RPG 6 in 2022, I had completed the first set of charts for the NNP project, which consisted of 25 simfiles, with one chart each, for BPMs in increments of 10 from 120 to 360. Prior to this, the project BPM cap was set to 300, but became 360 to accommodate player improvement since the project's inception.
Charts will draw influence from major metagame periods throughout ITG stamina's history.
There will likely not be a particular visual theme for this pack.

The SRPG6 preview version of the pack was extremely popular with players, and the first song in the pack, Le Perv, had the highest submission count for that event. The other simfiles were highly successful, motivating players to climb the ladder to unlock more charts. A number of players also received their first quads on stream charts of a certain difficulty by playing content from this pack.
