¶ Structure
Each simfile will have at least 6 charts. Charts have multiple “Expert level” charts distributed across Medium, Hard, Expert and Edit slots.
¶ Development
The origin for a IIDX ITG pack began in the aftermath of my curation for Stamina RPG 6 2022 DPRT faction. I was listening to the IIDX 29 CastHour ost (after my attention had been drawn to it from stepping Flying Castle), and found a number of songs I thought might be really fun to step. Most of the pack was stepped throughout the second half of 2022. .
With the release of IIDX 30 RESIDENT and IIDX 31 EPOLIS, the pack size increased from the originally intended 40. IIDX 32 Pinky Crush is not being considered for this pack.
2026 Q1 update: Both Pinky Crush and Sparkle Shower are now being used for the pack. The main pack (50 songs) is now complete and the only remaining work are the graphics, some courses and polishing work. Most of the charts in the pack have received updates to varying degrees.
A closed beta is being run for this pack.
¶ Artistic Influences and Chart Design
In early 2022 I found myself at a juncture in tech that I could not ignore. I noticed that my tech charts were becoming more technically complex, and that if this trend continued, would begin to work to the detriment of the charts. I began making conscious decisions to use less techs, and the first chart that was stepped for the TechDX project was an intentional effort to limit the tech usage. When I was very pleased with the finished result, I decided to try writing more charts with less techs and the songs I happened to be experimenting with were all IIDX songs. I decided to begin collecting these into one folder and curating a songlist.
During the Q4 2025 review, the pack underwent a significant overhaul to its structure and design. Numerous songs were removed and replaced with new ones, and nearly all charts received some form of update (Shakunetsu Beach Side Bunny and Summerblue retain their current charts in order to preserve GrooveStats hashing). Music from IIDX 32- Pinky Crush and IIDX 33- Sparkle Shower were added to the pool of usable music and the pack was capped at 50 songs. In 2024, the addition of adding Dan Course mixes was considered, and in 2025 the scope for them was expanded further. The combination of overall structure change and the addition of the courses (and the subsequent increase in the quantity of graphics needed) has pushed the release date back from Nov 2025 to after ITL 2026 (Jul 2026).

Each simfile contains unique graphics, made over December-January 2022-2023.
The pack banner is original work, using existing IIDX logo art as inspiration.

¶ Reception and Retrospect
Summerblue was well-received by the community when it was unlocked during ITL 2024. Shakunetsu Beach Side Bunny(Camellia's "Summertime D'n'B" Remix) received mixed reviews, citing awkwardness in the gallop-footswitch opening section of the chart.
